Little cuddling dolls

These lovely 2 ladies had their head ready for quite some time. This weekend I finished them finally. They have a little crochet wig with tails. Filled softly so a little hand can catch them easily.

I made the creme one a little scarf from the knitting pattern of Maizy Moo.

 

Ollebol & Muis 5 years!

I have been very busy lately and did not find the time to write something on my blog. I made some dolls and other custom orders but I will show you these later.
Ollebol & Muis is celebrating it's 5th birthday this month. I wanted to share this with my customers but what can you do when you sell different things? The handmade things are too much work to just give away to everybody who buys something in my store so I have a nice present for all who order some Sonny Angels. Buy 4 and you get your 5 "blind" for free!

 

 

The celebration will go on till the end of this month (januari).

Hella

This doll was on my table for a few weeks. Her body was ready but I couldn't find the time to finish her and put her together. But when you have finished your doll the next big step is to make clothes that will fit and look great on your doll. I chose some nice quilt cotton and made her a dress with matching trousers.

On ravelry and etsy I bought some nice patterns of knitted items for dolls from Maizy Moo knits and Lulletti. Hella has now a full wardrobe and her coat is on my worktable...hope it will be finished before winter comes at the end of this week.....

I made her a hat this weekend, nice warm for when it's going to be snowing

New doll

One thing I really would like to do was to go to a doll course of Fabrique Romantique in Amsterdam and finally a few weeks ago I made this doll. With a few other doll makers (some of them made their first doll) you could choose between a 32 cm or 40 cm doll. I made the big one and had a great day. I met some very nice people (two of them who follow my blog, Wendy of Lief Monster and Sandra of Blauw ruitje) and Anouk of course in her great shop.

Nice to learn new techniques, creating a new doll and give each other tips and trics. I had a really lovely day and must restrain myself not to go back for another doll...

As always, her clothes took more time than making the doll but that is because I am very precise and not satisfied easy.

Another adolescent in my house

The Design Market in Brussels is coming nearby and I had some items on my wishlist / to do list. This is my latest crochet item I made. He is a little friend of the girls I crochet before. This one is joining his lady friend in my shop and if he doesn't find a new home sooner he will come with me to Brussels.

Haloween

Almost the eind of Oktober.. Haloween is coming. In Holland it is not such big thing but you can buy all kind of Haloween things in the shops.
 
I did not buy anything because when you do I think you have to think big and make your whole living room in Haloween style.
 
When I saw this little item in the last Mollie Makes I was sold. This was something I liked and wanted to make. With masking tape secured on the wall it looks nice, not too much but a small hint that it is the end of Oktober.

 

 

   

Rood met witte stippen / Mushroom

One's in a while you see some nice mushrooms during this time of the season. I had 7 mushrooms near my tree before my house but someone did not appreciate them and kicked them all. Yesterday I discovered this nice one near our house.

I made this tiny doll and she is allmost finished. I had to make some pictures with the big mushroom before he is also gone...

DaWanda Designmarket Brusssel

Ollebol & Muis gaat internationaal, ha ha. Het stelt niet veel voor

maar klinkt wel leuk.

In samenwerking met de Meininger hotelketen organiseert DeWanda op

17 november as dit bijzondere evenement in de Europese hoofdstad Brussel.

Meer dan 90 hotelkamers worden door verkopers omgetoverd in kleine winkeltjes en speciaal voor de gelegenheid ingericht. Iedere kamer wordt beheerd door een DaWanda verkoper met een selectie van diens handgemaakte en zelfontworpen aanbod in bijvoorbeeld de categorieën mode, accessoires, wonen & leven, kind en schrijfwaren.

Idereen die op zoek is naar een bijzonder cadeau voor Sinterklaas of kerst kan slagen.

In plaats van een stand heb ik dus een hele hotelkamer om in te richten. Alle poppen en knuffels in bed, tassen aan de kapstok, dekentjes over de rand van het bed, Sonny Angels in de vensterbank, toilettassen op de badkamer etc. Het lijkt mij een hele uitdaging. Ik heb een youtybe filmpje gezien van de editie in Wenen en daar stonden rijen mensen buiten te wachten om naar binnen te mogen gaan. Ik sta op de 3e verdieping, maar ik zal zorgen dat iedereen mij kan vinden...

 

Ollebol & Muis goes International, this sounds fun but it is only for one day. DaWanda Design Market has organised an event on november 17th in Brussel with Meininger Hotel. More than 90 hotelrooms are little shops with all handmade articles.

Lief klein konijntje

Dozen vol catania heb ik hier liggen, en toch pak ik elke keer weer dezelde kleuren en moet ze dan weer aanvullen. Om dit konijntje te maken had ik gelukkig genoeg voorraad liggen, ik geloof dat ik van de aqua blauwe kleur een stuk of 6 bollen heb.

Dit konijntje heb ik van een foto gemaakt gecombineerd met het patroon van het Ballerina Muisje. Zo zie je maar, een beetje van dit, een beetje van dat en je hebt weer een ander schatje gecreeërd.

Fijne week

I have a lot of Catania cotton in stock, but everytime I take the same colours and have to buy new ones. For this bunny I had enough cotton. I took a photo from internet, some items of Ballerina Mouse, little bit of this and that and made this lovey bunny.

Ballerina Muis

Soms kom je van die patronen tegen die je heel graag wilt hebben. Afgelopen zomervakantie heb ik Muis afgemaakt en heeft ze geposeerd in de tuin in Italië waar wij op dat moment waren. Een van de buurtjes heeft haar als kraamcadeautje meegenomen en de andere buurvrouw gelijk een besteld.

De dames zijn goed terecht gekomen....

 

I made this Balerina Mouse during my holiday in Italie and one of my neighbours took her home for a birthpresent. I made another Balerina Mouse for someone else who also stayed in the holiday home. When I came home from my holiday she collected the Mouse when I was at the Sunday Market in Amsterdam. They both have a very nice new home.

Alweer tijdje geleden

Na de zomervakantie, dan begin ik weer met bloggen. Ziehier, het is alweer bijna herfstvakantie hier in het zuiden. Sorry maar ik heb een goed excuus, ik heb niet stilgezeten hoor!

Ik heb een aantal orders gemaakt (de foto's volgen in volgende blogberichten) en ik heb voorraad zitten maken voor De Sunday Market in Amsterdam. Ik ben daar begin september geweest en het is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

In november goes Ollebol & Muis International. Daarover snel meer....

3 deftige dames

Afgelopen week heb ik deze 3 schattige dames opgestuurd naar iemand in België. Zij heeft 3 dochtertjes en wilde graag voor elk meisje een popje hebben met mooie kleertjes. Zo samen op de foto was nog een hele klus, jammer dat ze weggingen....

I made these 3 girls for 3 little sisters in Belgium. All with different clothes on. Love them and was a bit sad they left....

Midzomeravond Buren 14 juni as

Soms komen er van die fairs voorbij waarbij je denkt, daar wil ik bij zijn. Buren is een mooi Vestingstadje en de sfeer daar is perfect. Ik heb de organisatie gemaild met een link naar mijn website en gevraagd of ik er tussen pas. Na direct een enthousiaste reactie ben ik druk aan de slag gegaan om wat leuke nieuwe dingen te maken. Er staan nog heel wat haakprojecten op het programma maar of dat gaat lukken weet ik niet..het is immers einde schooljaar dus er moet heel wat gedaan worden op school en daar heb ik mij natuurlijk voor opgegeven voordat ik deze fair ging inplannen. Maargoed, we zien wel hoe het loopt. Het beloofd in iedergeval gezellig te worden want vriendin J gaat mee.

 

Komen jullie gezellig langs? Als ik iets speciaals moet meenemen dan kun je me gewoon mailen. Natuurlijk gaan die schattige Sonny Angels ook mee.
Fijn weekend

Kookiemonsterrrrrr

Het lijkt wel alsof ik heel hard heb gewerkt de afgelopen dagen/weken. Maar ik had allemaal van die bijna af projectjes liggen. Dus ben ik daar maar eens mee aan de slag gegaan.

In mijn wolmandje lag ook al een paar weken een half afgemaakte kookiemonster. De armpjes en beentjes waren nog niet af en, niet onbelangrijk voor een kookiemonster, de koekjes!
Afgelopen dinsdag was het lekker weer en ik ben toen maar even in de patio gaan zitten want je weet immers niet wanneer het lekkere weer weer voorbij is. Hij is af en zeer tevreden met zijn kookies.

 

It looks like I worked very hard these last days/weeks. But I had some unfinished projects. So this week I finally finished this cookiemonster. He is very happy with his cookies...

 

Kleine meisjes

Prachtige lappen flanel heb ik hier liggen, met mooie prints. Ik heb ze een tijdje geleden gekocht bij Julija's shop en had nog niet eerder bedacht wat ik er mee ging doen. Een klein knuffelpopje was het idee maar dan is het natuurlijk nog leuker als je ze allemaal samen ziet.

Ze zijn ongeveer 16 cm hoog geworden en ondanks het feit dat ze allemaal hetzelfde hoofdmaatje hebben zien ze er toch allemaal weer anders uit.

I had some nice flanel in my stock and finally I made some little cuddling dolls. They are 16 cm and despite they all have the same size head, they all look different.

Pippi is vertrokken

En weg is ze, naar een nieuwe poppenmoeder... Ik kreeg afgelopen weekend een mail van een mevrouw of Pippi nog bij mij was. Ze zat hier gezellig op de plank in mijn werkkamer. Vandaag heb ik haar weggebracht. Toch met pijn in mijn hart, want wie is er nou niet gek op Pippi?

 

 

And today Pippi went to a new home....I miss her already. Ho doesn't like Pippi?
